Hi. I'm Flo.

I live in Florence, Wisconsin. Population about 1,800, depending on the season and how many cabins are occupied.

I've been here long enough to know where the walleye bite in May, which bar makes the best Friday night fish fry, and exactly how many days it takes for the mud to dry after the snow melts. The answer is more than you'd think.

Florence isn't on the way to anywhere. People who end up here came on purpose. They found a lake, or a trail, or a friendly face on Central Avenue, and they kept coming back. I understand that completely.

I'm here to tell Florence's stories. The businesses that make this town run. The people who chose this place. The events worth showing up for. The hidden spots worth finding.

I'm not a newspaper. I'm not a tourism board. I'm just someone who loves this town and can't stop talking about it.
