What the morning looks like
A first fish does not have to be large to become a lifelong story. Sometimes the smallest bluegill is the one a family remembers for years.
K.A.M.O. (Kids and Mentors Outdoors) is bringing Kids Hooked on Fishing to Florence. The morning is free for children ages 5 to 15, and beginners are welcome.

The morning
8:30 AM – Registration opens
9:00 AM to noon – Fishing
Noon to 1:00 PM – Free lunch and prize drawings
1:00 PM – Child pickup
Please note: This is a catch-and-release event.
No gear? They have it.
Fishing poles, bait and life jackets are provided. Children will also receive lunch and have a chance to win prizes.

K.A.M.O. needs volunteers and additional fishing boats so every child can get safely onto the water. You do not have to be a tournament angler—being patient and willing to help matters most.
