Pass the Tradition Forward: Kids Hooked on Fishing Returns to Florence!

There is nothing quite like the thrill of feeling that very first tug on a fishing line. The anticipation, the splash of the water, and the proud smile that follows are memories that last a lifetime.

This summer, K.A.M.O. (Kids and Mentors Outdoors) is inviting the youth of Florence, Wisconsin out for a fantastic, hands-on morning on the water! Whether your child is looking to cast their very first line or they are already a seasoned little angler, this community day is 100% free and packed with outdoor fun.

🎣 No Gear? No Boat? No Problem!

We want to make it as easy as possible for every child to experience the joy of the great outdoors. You don't need a garage full of expensive equipment or a boat to join the fun. We have completely covered:

  • All Gear Provided: Fishing poles, fresh bait, and safety life jackets are supplied for all young participants.

  • Food & Prizes: After wrapping up on the water, every child will enjoy a complimentary lunch and a chance to win some awesome prizes.

🤝 Captains & Mentors Needed: How You Can Help!

An outdoor tradition like this only thrives when neighbors step up to guide the next generation. To make sure every child can get out on the water safely, we are actively seeking volunteers and additional fishing boats.

If you have a boat you can bring, or if you simply want to donate a morning to mentor a child and share your love of fishing, we would love to have you on the team!

📞 How to Register a Child or Volunteer

Space is limited, and we need to coordinate our boats ahead of time! To secure a spot for your child, sign up as a volunteer, or offer your fishing boat, please contact the event organizer directly:

Let’s get our kids away from the screens and onto the water. See you on July 11th!
